What do you want?
I
have a scrub turkey that comes to my door every afternoon for broken
crackers.
I
it looked up on the internet to learn what was the best food to feed
scrub turkeys, they had a number of suggestions so I got three of
them.
I
put the first one out and the scrub turkey took one peck and walked
away.
I
did the same with the next two suggestions and I got the same result,
one peck and it walked away.
The
next day I put out broken crackers again and the turkey ate them all
up.
I
learned a great life lesson, the scrub turkey knew what it wanted, it
didn’t want what I wanted for it.
And
so with people the only way to influence other people is to talk
about what they want, not what I want for them.
Find
out what a person wants and then show them how to get it.
Now
we can apply this to ourselves, find out what we really want and then
learn whatever skills we need to accomplish it.
Know
what you want, not what others want for you, because if you go after
what you really want you will be passionate and enthusiastic about
it.
Know
what you really want and learn the necessary skills to accomplish it.
