We can now show our work on so many platforms around the world, the Art world has changed.

With these new opportunities also come new responsibilities Artists did not have before, now we have to sell our Art as well as be the creator of our Art and this is where the majority of Artists find themselves.

It is no good saying it’s not fair and you want it to go back to the old days because it will not go back, the Art world is forever changed.

What we have to do is embrace the new reality and learn all we can about selling and promoting our work.

We now have the opportunity to sell our work directly to our collectors with no middle man, you are in control of your future.

It is an amazing time to live in, we can build our own Art business without being in a gallery so embrace the new reality and learn all you can to sell your Art, don’t count on the past to return it will not.

Embrace making videos, story telling your Art and blogs, these marvellous opportunities are before you to create the reality you want, no one can stop you now.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
