Don’t just show up but to show off.

 



The best thing about a crowded Art market is that most Artists are trying to fit in and are lost in the crowd, they don’t want to rock the boat, they are shy and timid. If you try to fit into what the Art market wants and what Art group says, you will be invisible and just part of the crowd. So stand out and do what will get you attention, make videos that will get name and face recognition.

Strangers are the ones who will buy your Art, but if they cannot find you then you cannot sell your Art to them, so get the attention of strangers because they are the key to your Artistic success. You have to decide, you can fit in or you stand out and create ways to get attention. One is very easy to do, the other takes hard work and determination.

Make videos, they are so powerful and will get you attention.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
