Do your best.

Artists need to be the best they can be and do the best that they can do.
You do not need the approval or reassurance of others, you just need to be the best you can be.
If you search for constant approval and reassurance, that you are doing the right things and that you are on the right track, then you will always be at the mercy of others and what they think and feel.
Also do not compare yourself to others, they are not you and you can never be them.
You cannot please everyone that is certainly not possible and you cannot always please those that you seek assurance and approval from, so what do you do?
Do not seek approval from anyone but yourself, this your Art career, you are responsible and you must learn all you can about it so that you make the right decisions for you.
Use the past as a teacher not your worst critic.
Learn from your mistakes and encourage yourself from your successes.
Remember success repeated becomes a habit.
You did it once so you know how to do it again, success leaves a trail.
Build that positive habit into your life.
Yes you must work hard, but that is a positive habit also.
To repeat success always do your best in every area of your life, you are only as strong as your weakest point, so build on ever area of your life and be the best you can possibly be.
If you always do your best, then you will always be the best you can be and you will not need reassurance or approval, because you will know you are doing your best.
Climbing to the top of the mountain is hard, that's why so few do it, only the best get to the top, so be the best that you can be.
