It takes time.


The Art market is not a good judge of great Art it is moved by fashion, trends, celebrity and signatures.

It is not interested in anything but what sells, it certainly does not quickly accept the new and the different.

If you are going to do original Art work that is new and different and never been seen before, then unfortunately rejection will be part of it, but if your Art is original and ground breaking, then the market will catch up to you and herald your New Art a big success.

Sometimes being an overnight success can take up to 20years.

You are in control of your Art career and your original paintings are wonderful, go forward, believe in your work, do not loose hope and be an original Artist and bring change.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
