Small daily disciplines.

To often as Artists we do not recognise the advantages of small gains.
We do not even consider them sometimes because we do not think that they are important, but it is the small gains that really count in life.
The problem with small gains is that in the short term they seem not to be having any effect, like dieting, its hard because after a few days there seems to be no effect, but it takes time and we give up because it’s hard to do and I am hungry.
The lesson here is that small disciplines are very hard to start when we are already convinced in our mind that we can't do it, no matter how easy it would be to do.
If you are convinced it is too hard to do, then you are probably right.

Do not let wrong thinking stop you from achieving small goals in your life.
Consistency is the key, just doing it until it is a habit.
Its like cleaning your teeth every day and having a shower, small daily disciplines that you have to do but if you did not do them the long term health outcomes would be disastrous for you.
We do the small daily disciplines for long term benefits.
Two facts of life for the unprepared, debt grows quickly and savings grow slowly.
Debt is the result of the need for instant gratification and savings is the result of disciplined long term habits.
Both have a consequence, one is positive and one is negative.
This is the same as reading that book that could change your life.
Doing that workshop that could inspire you to new heights in your Art career.
Doing that course that could teach you to sell and handle people.
All these small disciplines can provide great reward for you in the future.
Don't convince yourself that it is too hard to do, because you will be right.
What are some small daily disciplines that you could start today, that would greatly benefit your Artistic future?

This is your Art career, it’s up to you.
