You can choose.



Stop paying attention to the things that you cannot change.
You cannot change the government.
You cannot change the economy.
You cannot change your family.
You cannot change your friends.
All of these things are out of your control, but you can change you.
Pay attention to you, your actions, your habits, your attitudes, your business and do not try and change others, lead by changing yourself.
You can choose to be better, happier and friendlier.
You can choose to lead instead of follow.
You can choose to show people what a friend you can be.
You can choose to show your family how caring and loving you can be.
Be the Artist who is an example to others, choose to be a leader. Show others what to do, don’t just tell others what to do.
Choose to lead by example.
The person who is prepared to take responsibility without recognition.
The person who is prepared to have principles, not just be a compromiser.
The Art world need leaders not followers.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
