She loved the act of painting.
“I
write only when inspiration strikes. Fortunately it strikes every
morning at nine o'clock sharp.”― W.
Somerset Maugham.
I
thought this was great advice for
those down times when you just sit
and
stare
at that white canvas.
One
Artist
I respected
said that
she
got through
these
empty times
this
way,
she
did not wait around for inspiration?
She
loved the
act of painting
not inspiration, isn’t
that brilliant?
So
she
forgot
about being inspired and painted.
She
found
in the dry times that she
would
play
and just have fun with paint.
You
will be
constantly amazed how in these
times of having fun and
playing how
many great
new
ideas will
come
forth,
sometimes you
will do this
for hours but
it will be time not wasted.
I
am sure once you get lost in creating and enjoying the experience,
inspiration will turn up and you probably won’t even notice.
Don't
wait for inspiration get
lost
in the moment just
having
fun painting.
Love
the act of creating.
