Doing nothing is doing nothing.


Do not fall into the trap that many Artists fall into where they make excuses for not producing new work and say things like, they are waiting for inspiration.

I understand we want to be safe, we all do, but sometimes safe is the wrong place to be.

Safe is where the crowd is, safe means doing what others are doing, safe means singing the same song, safe is average, ordinary and safe is invisible.

So instead of being safe and invisible and waiting for inspiration to come become you start, as this really is just an excuse, be unsafe!

Be unsafe and start now and don’t wait for inspiration, start work and you will be amazed how inspiration will find you, starting is the key.

Start some amazing project, paint a painting like no one else can, you can do it, just paint your own imagination, your original Art work.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most.
