The challenge for the Artist.

The challenge for the Artist is to always be more.
Be more creative.
Be more adventurous.
Be more daring.
Be more giving.
The more you give of yourself the more you become, so believe in your own creativity and yourself and do not loose sight of why you are doing what you are doing and what you are becoming.
Yes there will be disappointments, that is part of life, but be more than the disappointments, build resilience into yourself and make every day different and challenging.
Push the artistic envelope always, stretch yourself and paint because you can become more.
Put on a smile, be positive and stay true to yourself and challenge yourself to be more.
The more you work on yourself, the more you become.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
