The new reality.

Galleries and dealers were so successful years ago because they could sell the Art and the Artist would just create and stay in their studio.
The Gallery sells their work, Artists does not have to sell or worry about selling, it was perfect and great while it lasted.
Then along came the Internet and messed up what was perfect.
Today galleries are slowly closing and Artists discovered that they could go straight to the customer on line and not have to pay commissions and this hurt galleries and so less and less galleries.
The liberation of the Artist from the gatekeepers also means now that Artists have to manage there own business and this is a real shock for some because with less and less middle men the Artist now has to promote and sell there Art.
There will still be Galleries but they will take less and less risk with unknown Artists, wall space is expensive and they want sure sellers, so unknown and emerging Artists will have to find a new ways to sell their Art and that is what the internet offers and with the perfect comes more responsibility and Artists have to change.
You need to learn to sell your Art online and market it online and also find new venues within your city, state or country to sell your work.
Many will complain and say it’s not fair but it is the reality, learn all you can about selling your Art there is a lot of free material around on the internet.
Be positive, don’t think you can’t do it, know you can do it.
Change your thinking and you will change your life.
