Two doors.
"Ask
and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the
door will be opened to you.”
This
verse from Mathew in the Bible is such an interesting verse, I am not
going lecture on the Bible but lets look at this because it has a lot
to do with the doors I spoke about this morning.
Now
most of us would not have a problem with what this verse
says because
it is clear, but most would say I tried that and it didn’t work.
None
of us have a problem with the asking it’s the receiving
that is the problem.
None
of us would have a problem with seeking it’s the finding that seems
so hard.
None
of us have a problem with knocking it’s finding the right door
seems to be the issue.
I
have heard so many speak on this and they say things like your asking
for the wrong things, but it is not qualified it just says ask.
Same
with
seek,
it just says seek.
Same
with knock, it just says knock.
The
problem I see here is human nature, instead of sitting down and first
deciding what we really want, people just keep asking for lots of
different things without targeting one deliberate thing and they
never get what they are asking for.
Instead
seeking lots of things we need focus on
one
thing we are seeking and then go out and find it.
Same
with knocking on doors
it is deciding which door we want to knock on and keep knocking on it
until it opens.
These
three things are actions, asking, seeking and knocking in a
purposeful and deliberate way that
will get the desired outcome, but first you must be firm in your
decision of what you want and most people aren’t.
To
me this is so clearly about
goals, a definite goal and the deliberate
actions
produced
desired results.
As
I said it is about the two door, the successful door which will
require that we be very deliberate about it,
ask,
seek, knock for
what we want or the average door which takes little effort and leads
to what most people will settle for safety
and mediocrity.
Know
what you want, ask for it, daily affirmations.
Seek
what you want, visualization and put your plan into action.
Know
what door you want to go through and knock on it.
