What are they doing?


When you see another Artist whose work is comparable to yours and you have been painting for a similar length of time but they are succeeding better than you are, you cannot be envious but you need to find out what they are doing.
The first question to ask is, “ What are they doing better than I am doing?”
“ What are they doing that I am not doing?”
Don’t look for the obvious, because immediately our insecurities will go to their painting and usually that is not the answer, the answer will be behind the scenes.
Are they doing videos and you are not?
Do the have after sales service, do you?
Do they story tell their Art, do you?
Do they use affirmations and positive self talk?
Do they have written down goals and they use visualization?
There are so many other things that can cause someone to be more successful, look at other very successful Artists and ask yourself the question, “ What are they doing that I am not doing?” because I have learned this, success leaves a trail.
If the Art work they produce is of the same standard as yours then the secret is the other things they are doing.
Find out what that is and do it and you take another step up the ladder of success.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most.
