There is no fast way to be an overnight success.


It is very easy to get caught up in the race to be successful which may cause you to take short cuts that in the long term will damage you and your business.

Do not trade off fast sales of questionable copied Art for a good reputation and a name for quality work?

Your good name is what will support you in the future, to lose people’s trust and confidence in you will mean you will not have a long career in the Arts.

Build an Art career that will last, build on the reputation of producing original Art that is yours and yours alone.

If you want a long career in the Arts build strong always knowing exactly what you want and establishing good ethical standards into your Art business.

There is no fast way to be an overnight success, it takes time and you must pay your dues.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
