Be passionate.


There is no shame in being a passionate Artist.
Of course there are many Artists out there who will try and calm you down, throw cold water on your dreams and try to tell you to be realistic and don't rock the boat, don't be so out there.
Why are they saying that?
Because they are not passionate and because if you are, then you are different, you are scary.
We need passionate Artists who believe 100% in themselves, not just their Art but in themselves and who are prepared to talk about their art shamelessly.
To speak out about their paintings, talk to strangers about their work, especially when others say don't promote yourself so much.
Why not?
If you do not promote yourself, no one else will and always remember, every opportunity lost, is an opportunity lost, yes lost, lost, lost.
Be passionate, people will always gravitate to passionate, enthusiastic people, they walk away from the boring and every day.
Be a passionate Artist.
Be passionate about you paintings and about your own creative ability.
As I heard one Artist friend say,
“Don't just turn up, turn up and show off.”
Always be passionate about your Art.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
