The best.



As Artists we need to live life with energy and passion.
We need to work hard but just hard work is not the answer, we must be focused on what we are doing, having our goals in place.
Art goals, personal goals all written out so we know exactly where we are going.
Making each day, each hour count towards the vision for our life.
We must always look lively, enjoying what we are doing and doing it to the fullness of our ability.
Most of all we need to be the best Artist and the best person that we can possibly be, that is the ultimate goal, all else pales compared to that.
This Artist life is not a competition with anyone at all, there is enough success for everyone who is prepared to work hard and be the best they can be.
That is what we are all striving for, that is the great goal of life.
At the end of your life you can look back and say with pride, that I worked hard on my Art and hard on myself, so I could be the best Artist that I could be and that I was the best me that I could be.
Being the best you that you can be, is the ultimate prize.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
