My thoughts.

There is room in the Art World for everyone and I post about the Art Business and the Art Life to those who wish to read what I have to say and I know I does not resonate with everyone.

That is what is great about the Art World lots of wonderful people with varying opinions all wanting to create original Art, high spirited and loads of talent.

I want Artists to learn about the business side of Art because that was my greatest failing as a practising Artist, how to sell and market my art. 
I honestly believed that it would just happen, today I am unable to explain why I thought that but I did.

I believed that I would be discovered just like it happens in the movies, but life is not like that. 
In the movies it is all an illusion because the end is already known before the movie begins but real life happens as we go along. 
I want to see Artists in control of their Art future which includes their financial futures and neither can be separated that is why I talk about learning to sell and market themselves. 
If you wait around for someone else to do, one they might not turn up or two they will turn up and make more money from you than you do.

I run a large Gallery and I hear all the sad stories of Artists being ripped off, that's why I write because that is wrong and I want Artists to be empowered and prosper.

If painting is how you earn your living then you must learn new skills that will benefit you, it is a business it is not just about painting you need to be able to run your business.
What I talk about is not hard and you can learn to do it.

So my friends do your best always and be the best that you can be.

Be gentle on yourself and love yourself so you can love others, keep smiling and smile away the critics.
