Realize your potential.





I have come across many Artists who have great potential and sadly potential can be a great burden to some, they say “ Everybody believes in me but me.”
Or potential can be a great challenge, to become all that you can possibly be.
Look at the potential of a baby Mango tree as it breaks through the ground.
How tall will it grow?
How much fruit will it produce in it’s lifetime?
How deep will it’s roots go down?
How many people and birds will be feed by this tree?
How many birds will find refuge and safety in this tree?
What great potential the Little Mango tree has, now it just needs to grow and just be a Mango tree and overcome all the obstacles it will face.
Look at our own lives and see the great challenge of potential that we face.
To be an Artist that makes a difference and matters.
To be an Artist and accomplish all that you possibly can.
We start with the challenge of potential now it will take self belief and hard work.
You will have to forget all the reasons the thief will give you why it won’t work and believe in the one reason why it will work, you.
Believe in yourself and become the best Artist and best person that you can become.
You can realize all your potential, it takes self belief, hard work and never give up.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
