The Shellshear Project.




It has always been my desire to do more for Artists than just sell their paintings in a Gallery, as important as that is.
My vision when I started writing my daily blog years ago was to freely give out information and to help Artists so that they would not make the same mistakes that I did as a practising Artist.
I then decided to do a daily video as well and teach more about what I believe and think Artists need to do and now I want to go a step further for those Artists who are interested.
Every Artist is different and has different needs so what I am doing is working with each Artist individually face to face and helping you with your Art business. There are no group sessions and we talk only about your Art practice, this is designed to be of value to each individual Artist.
No two Artists are alike and we all need guidance at different times and so the Shellshear Project is just that, it is to help, guide and instruct, it is to make you think, to get you to look at your Art practice differently and plan your journey. There is no course to follow, no homework to do, no set curriculum just helping you to build your Art business.
We want to tailor the Project to each Artist as you are all individuals and unique and require different outcomes and we do this in a powerful weekly face to face setting.
The Shellshear Project is one on one, no group settings or meeting just one on one, face to face video calls talking about ideas and strategies on how to can build your Art business into something that you’re proud of.
We will look into your Art practice through a series of questions that you get when you first join the Project so we can best tailor our program to you as individuals and you get the best value that you possibly can out of it.
There will always be only a limited number of Artists in the Project as we are not looking for volume, we want to give value and as much individual attention to each Artist as possible.
It is an on going month to month program and there are three different cost options you can choose from and you can leave the Project at any time.
The next intake starts Monday, April 2 and includes up to 4 hours of face to face discussion with Mark, plus bonus emails and unlimited emails and messaging with Mark.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
