 What do you do when you get to top of the Art world?

You are there but someone is coming to knock you off the top.

You may want to be the most famous Artist in the world and then what?

Someone is coming and will be more famous.

These are not a good games to play because they are limited games, a beginning and an end and a winner.

Football and golf are finite games, a beginning and an end and also there is a winner.

These games are not good games, if you want to keep playing.

We need to concentrate on the limitless games where we are always playing.

So we would be best to focus on the pursuit of excellence in our Art career because that is life long continual improvement, a game you can play forever.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
