We get what we deserve.


What must I do to be deserving?

If you need to grow food to live and you have seeds, but you never plant them, then you have a need for food, but you do not deserve a crop.

To deserve a crop you must plant the seeds.

The planters deserves the crop.

Don’t say I need.

Say, how can I learn and earn?

What new skills do I need to learn so I can earn?

We must take our seed to our soil, the Art business.

Our seed is our willingness to create original Art work.

Our willingness to work hard at our craft.

Our willingness to be friendly to strangers.

Our seed is our self discipline and our positive attitude.

These make us deserving of a harvest.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
