As Artists we make certain promises to ourselves and our potential audience, even though we may not be aware of it.
The promise is that we are doing our very best work that we can do at this particular time and place in our creative journey.
The promise that we are putting our selves into the work and the painting is as much our ongoing story as it is a story of a painting.
