The quickest way?

I was asked my thoughts on selling on social media, the reality is every body is looking for the miracle way to market their Art work. A way that will get lots of sales and make it happen very fast and unless you have a lot of money to invest in advertising yourself and promotion, then the quickest way is the hard way, doing the work.
If you are not using social media to its best possible outcomes then you will have to learn to do it.
There are lots of tutorials and courses free on the internet.
I have found that just keeping ahead on social platforms is virtually a full time job, there is a lot of work in doing this, so think about that before you start, you will need to set aside time each day for social and stick to that time frame as you still need to paint.
Once you decide to do social media, the key is consistency it can not be hit and miss, you must determine how much you will do and do it, as I said, set aside an allotted time each day to do social and do it in that time.
If you say you will be there every day, then be there every day.
So many start with such enthusiasm but as the months go by they loose interest because it really does come down to sheer determination to do it every day.
The keys to successful marketing on social media are,
choose a few platforms to work on and give them your best and ignore the rest.
I know people say be on them all, I disagree, do one or two or three extremely well, rather than many and be hit and miss.
Turn up, if you say you will post each day, then post each day. You can occasionally miss a day but do not do it to often, attention span on social is limited.
Finally there are no short cuts, you must be prepared to put years into this, you must get peoples attention first, have something to say, good content.
Next you will start to get a following, so be consistent if you want them to stay with you.
Then you must gain peoples trust.
This is a most valuable commodity someone can give you, so be carefully and do not misuse and abuse that trust.
Be respectful, be always honest, do not be pushy selling, tell your story, be courteous and answer every comment you get on every platform, do not argue, do not push a political or religious agenda, abuse any of these and you will find you are very alone on social.
Always remember it is not a competition for likes or numbers, it is you just talking and sharing with friends.
Finally to be successful, it takes hard work and patience and then, tomorrow you get to do it all again.
