Artists are courageous people.

I go to as many opening as I can, mainly to just support the Artist and the Gallery. I never go to make a judgement of whether the Art is good or bad, I go see what is new and meet friends.
I do not exhibit any more personally but I do remember the trauma of exhibiting.
It can be a wonderful experience as you see strangers buying your work and complementing you on what you have created.
Then there is the other reality, you are expecting a good crowd and to make great sales and you get neither, it can be disheartening and soul destroying.
Then the next day you have to go back to the studio and paint for the next show and that takes courage to walk against failure and rejection.

Yet Artists continue to do it week in and week out.
