Our priorities.

All of us must work hard, but it must be on the things that matter.

It’s very easy to get very busy doing things that do not matter and does not impact on our three priorities, improving our Art, improving our sales and improving ourselves, anything that does not fall under these three categories is not a priority.

Improving your Art is personal and necessary, keep doing it.

Improving sales is a big subject as it includes finding new customers, looking after the ones we already have and developing new products for them.

Sales is also improving our personal relationships with others, finding strangers and making them part of our network and hopefully lead them into becoming a valued customer.

We should be thinking about how to improve in these three areas constantly, how can I do it better, how can I do it more efficiently?

We need to be always searching for answers and ideas on how to improve our business.

Self improvement is part of our business and it matters.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
