Treasure.

I read this sentence this morning and it really made me think,

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

The key here is, what is the thing your heart desires, other than family and loved ones, for when we know what our hearts desire is we will understand our heart and how it is fulfilled.

So many people live unfulfilled lives, going through the motions every day, doing a job they do not like and the only thing to look forward to is going home to watch television or the coming weekend.

Most people go through life never doing what there hearts desire is and wonder why they get sick.

We know that hope postponed makes the heart sick.

I know people who want to write, but will never do it.

I know people who want to paint, but will never do it.

I know people who want to write beautiful music, but will never do it.
I know of people who want to go and work in an orphanage in Thailand, but will never do it.

So many people want to do things that their heart desires but are stopped by fear, what if it does not work out, what if it all goes wrong, excuses.

The “thief” will do all it can to stop you from achieving the desires of your heart, your inner genius.

For the one who wants to write the “thief” will say, “wait you need more time, your not ready yet” and so with painting and writing your music and going and working in that orphanage, it wants safe, but often safe is the most unsafe place you can be in.

Safe people hiding from what they truly want to do are not safe at all and are often consumed with problems both real and imagined because they are not realising their dreams.

You cannot go to Thailand yet, you need training and get credentials, wait a little while and then do it.

But the truth is you can do it now.

Go and paint, if that is your hearts desire, no one said it has to be a masterpiece, it just has to be your original painting.

Go and write that book if that is your hearts desire, it does not have to the great American novel, it just has to be your book.

Go and write that music if it is your hearts desire, it does not have to the next Beethoven 5^th., it just has to be your music.

Go and work in that orphanage in Thailand, you don’t have to be a fully qualified nurse or doctor, you just have to go and love needy children.

If you do it, you will find your heart will be fulfilled and you will find your treasure.

Treasure does not have to be money, it can be fulfilment, accomplishment, creativity, contentment and loving children in an orphanage.

Go and do your hearts desire that’s where your treasure is..

Your treasure can be just as simple and as wonderful as saying this,

“I made this, it’s for you.”
