Your Art career has meaning, it is your own and you are responsible for it.
Taking responsibility is not only creating original Art and selling your Art, but also improving yourself.
We do that by only comparing ourselves with our yesterday selves and striving to improve our today self preparing for a better future self.
Improvement must be, I believe, constantly in those areas of our professional and personal lives.
Improving in creating original Art work.
Improving in sales, finding new and imaginative ways to sell our Art work.
Improving self, so we are continually becoming a better person.
Our goal is not perfection, but continual improvement.
Thereby we understand our personal responsibility to improve in these three areas continually.
Improvement no matter what your age is not a nice idea but our responsibility.
Improving ourselves improves our world around us and those whose lives we touch.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
