The challenge of selling your Art.

To sell our Art we need to get it in front of strangers and this can be difficult at times.

Most Artists have lots of stockpiled work and want to know how to sell it, I have no guaranteed way of selling it but I have a few ideas that you can work with.

This is an opportunity for us to think outside the box and to be creative with our strategic thinking.

I still believe videos are the most powerful way of getting our message out and so few Artists use this medium.

So a strategy for those Artists who are not ready to put their faces on a video, then put your paintings on your videos with voice over.

Write out a script of what you want to say, why you painted it, the story behind the work and this is to last maybe two or three minutes.

Now a lot of people believe because it is video that you must move the camera around but I suggest you keep the camera still so we get to have a nice long look at the work and can take it in and your voice telling us the story about the work.

Put these up on Artist group sites on Facebook and you will be different and stand out.

I know I talk about this a lot because I see the value of being able to do videos for free and all you need is a smart phone and an internet connection and they don’t have to be long only 2 or 3 minutes.

This is a strategy that will work without you having to get in front of the camera.
