The story we tell ourselves.

I was asked by someone outside the Art business if I would look at their website and make some suggestions as they were starting a new business.

There was a video on it showing what they did but it had no voice over.

There also no photograph of the person on the website.

I said they should put a photograph of themselves up and they replied, “ I will when I get a good picture.”

I knew straight away that they will never put a picture of themselves up, because none will ever be good enough.

I also understood why there was no voice over on the video, because their voice was not good enough.

I left it at that and still up until today no picture.

If you are waiting for you, your picture or your voice to get good enough before you start doing videos then you will never start.

What we need to say to ourselves is, “ I am fine, my picture is fine and my voice is fine.”

So now we can put our picture up because it is good enough, it doesn’t need to be the best photo of ever taken, it just needs to be your photo.

I can now make the video because it will be good enough and I speak on it because my voice is good enough.

The story we tell ourselves can hinder us or encourage us.

The story we tell ourselves is our choice, we can tell ourselves we are not good enough or we can tell ourselves we are amazing, your telling the story.
