It is a wonderful opportunity.

I read a post by an Artist complaining that there is to many Artists and paintings in the market now and how hard it was to sell Art.
Yes it is true that there has never before been as many Artists as there are today but also there is more Art sold today than ever before.
We live in a new age where the Art business like most businesses is having to change and evolve because of the disruption that the Internet has bought upon us.
Now it easy to complain about there being so many Artists today and so much Art work up for sale, yet we live in a vibrant Art market.
The problem is not to many Artists or paintings for sale, the problem is that Artists have to change and change can be hard.
Today the majority of Artists have to sell their own Art and so they have to learn new skills that the Artist of yesterday never had to deal with and I think that is a game changer.
We have the opportunity to manage our own careers like no Artists before us, we are in control of our own destinies.
This also comes with the responsibility for us to promote our own work and get the attention of strangers.
We can do this for free on the Internet, it is up to us to use this wonderful opportunity or let it pass us by.
You can do videos and stories of your work and you can do an unlimited amount, Facebook puts no limits on how much you want to upload, what an amazing opportunity to promote yourself.
Every day I am amazed that I can write a blog and make a video and I can post them for free on many sites and I do not need to get anyone's permission.
Grasp this opportunity that is before us, do not take it for granted, use it while it is available, make a video, write stories about your Art, get the attention of strangers, be different, but don’t say it’s to hard, this is a wonderful opportunity to grow your Art career.
