Be the bigger person..



There will always be Artists better than us and worse than us, that's just life. The key for us is to accept who we are and build harder on our dreams and goals, and become better Artists and people.
If you compare yourself with others, you will lose, it's not a game to play. You cannot change that outcome by railing against it, you must do what you have to do to change your life, because you are you and your life is the only one you have control over.
No one is entitled to success, that is not the right attitude to have, be the one to congratulate the Artist who does better and then go and do as good yourself.
Make it a competition not a criticism, work harder, become a better person, don't compare yourself to others, that's a losers game.
Be the bigger person, rejoice in the success of others.

Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth?

                                               Why don't people want to pay what my art is worth? I keep reading on an artists group pages again and again the same old question, “ I cannot sell my art for what it is really worth?” This is always a question raging in the art world, sort of the never ending question. Every artist has an opinion about this and it sometimes sounds like whining and of coarse they do not want to hear any opinions that differ from the fact, that their art is worth far more than they can sell it for. Your weakest skill, sets the height of your success. If you don't know your best skill, you had better find out your weakest skill, because its the weakest skill that holds you back. As Artists we so often coast along depending on our strongest skills to get us through, never realising that it is the weakest skills that hurt us the most. Now I have learned what not to do, because as an Artist I never did this but after years in Galleries I wish I had, it was a weak skill that determined the height of my success.
