Some Artists musts.

Most Artists want to be successful and famous.
Of course they must have some talent or at least the ability to express themselves in painting and drawing, or their chosen medium.
I was asked what were a few must that I thought were important for the successful Artist to possess?
I have listed a few below.
Must work hard.
When you work you work, you give it all you have got. Don’t be lazy, this will hurt you in the long term, concentrate and work hard for your long term benefit.
Must run their Art practice as a small business.
Always keeping records and some understanding of selling and marketing. Learning to sell and marketing your Art work is so important, learn to do it do not be dependant on others because they do not care about your career like you do.
No sales, no money, no life, learn to sell your paintings.
Must be continually working on self improvement.
Reading the books and listening to positive talks and putting them into action. Work hard on improving yourself and you will improve your life, this will prepare you for success. Success only comes and stays with those who are prepared for. Some have quick success, but if they are not prepared for success it usually does not stay long.
Must be constantly overcoming the fear “thief”.
The fear “thief” will oppose you at every new challenge you face as you climb the Art ladder of success.
Fear is what stops most from achieving their dreams, you must learn to use it to your advantage.
If the “thief” says no, you say let’s go and do it.
Must learn to understand and handle money.
Many think they know how to handle money but most have very little of it?
Being wise with money is learned, it’s a skill, you are not born with this skill it is something you have to learn.
How to earn it.
How to save it.
How to use it and have some left.
How to grow it and keep it.
These are a few Artist must that I think are very important, yes there are more I could add but master these and you will be preparing yourself for your Artistic success.
Some have overnight success, but if they are not prepared for success, it usually does not stay very long.
