Great Art is risky.
If
what you are painting is guaranteed to sell because you have done
similar to it many times before and it’s comfortable, then it
should not be painted.
Great
paintings are risky and the “thief” will try and stop you and
they could fail.
Paint
by numbers is not risky and most people will like those paintings
because they have seen them before, but they are not great Art and
most likely not Art at all, just factory pictures.
To
paint great Art like Vincent Van Gogh is very risky, people may not
like it and it might not sell for many years.
The
Impressionists laboured for most of their lives and were laughed at
and their Art was called many names, none nice, yet it was great Art
and of course it was finally accepted and recognised for what it was
and they become famous.
All
the factory art of Van Gogh’s day is now forgotten.
All
the factory pictures of the Impressionists period are now forgotten,
but the Impressionists Art is not forgotten and today it is seen as
great Art and can be seen in all the great museums and is a central
part of what Art is.
Doing
great Art is risky and the “thief” will try and stop you and it
may take a long time to sell and for you to get noticed, but it is
not forgotten.
Do
risky Art and be remembered.
