Selling # 7….Your paintings matter.
Of
course some of the most important things we can do in selling is to
stand out from the crowd and get the attention of the buying public
and you will not do that if you are like everyone else.
When
we gain the concept that our Art is not just to help us earn a living
but to make a difference in this world then we will approach selling
very differently.
Making
a difference will mean we will have to have a distinct voice, not be
like everyone else who is trying fit into what an Artist should be
like.
We
are to do work that matters, work that changes people.
That
means we will have make it up as we going along, there are no maps
for genius, it is about doing it for the first time, it has not been
done before and in doing that we make a difference in the lives of
the lives of people we inspire.
Work
that blesses them and brings joy into their lives and motivates them
to be the best they can possibly be, Art can change lives.
Build
your Art career by being generous, with your smiles and appreciation
of others.
Be
the one to always congratulate others on there success, a generous
person is a blessing to those around them and it inspires others to
be better.
As
you become your own distinct voice in Art, lives will be transformed
and inspired to change for the better.
Be
the one who cares for others.
Our
Art will never be for everyone and if it was we would need to ask why
because that is not normal, no our Art is for our people.
You
do not paint for everyone but it is for someone.
You
paint for those who love your work.
You
paint for those who admire your work.
You
paint for those who love it enough to give you their hard earned
money.
You
see you did not paint it for the critics and fault finders, it’s
not for them.
You
only paint for those who love and care about your work and the change
it makes in their lives.
We
waste to much emotional energy on the critics and fault finders and
what others think and say about us, when really we should just ignore
them all and put all our energy into those who care about us and love
our work and are inspired by it..
Your
paintings matter, paint for those you are leading up the mountain,
not for those who are trying very hard to keep you in the dark
valley.
Selling
is about making a difference and impacting on the lives of others and
helping them to be better, because your paintings matter.
